Boundary Street is undoubtedly Hong Kong’s most well-known street. As early as 1860, it was the border between the Qing and the British government. In 1934, the British Hong Kong government built Boundary Street along this border to aid the development of Kowloon Tong and resolve land tax issues regarding the concession. The sitting-out area is located at the junction of Nathan Road and Boundary Street. It has a trapezoidal layout, alongside facilities such as arbours, benches and children’s playgrounds. Its most distinctive feature is the waterfall pool, which adds life to an otherwise ordinary sitting-out area.
