Wing Hong Street Rest Garden

永康街休憩花園依仗著永康街和永明街之間的山坡而設計，設有兩個入口位於地勢低的永康街和一個入口於地勢高的永明街。山坡突出的山頭將場地劃分為「陰」、「陽」兩部分，均衡靈活地提供主要功能。位於東面的「陽」，隨著山坡面設置三級臺地，配上涼亭和座椅，供使用者視野向外拓。位於西面的「陰」，被山頭和防護坡包圍如同山坳，含蓄內斂，坡上和種植池上茂密的樹冠鎖住了旁邊食環署通風井帶來的涼風於場地內。場地使用者可以利用順著山頭曲折的樓梯，往返「陰」、「陽」兩個場域，感受空間變換。

Wing Hong Street Rest Garden is designed along the hillside between Wing Hong Street and Wing Ming Street, with two lower entrances from Wing Hong Street and one higher from Wing Ming Street. The protruding hillside divides the site into “Yin” and “Yang”, as both sides function flexibly in balance. “Yang” in the east is a three-level terrace along the hillside, equipped with pavilions and seats, allowing users to gaze outwards and beyond. “Yin” in the west is surrounded by hills and protective slopes like a valley, reserved and introverted. Cool breeze from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department ventilation shaft is entrapped by dense tree canopies on the slopes and planting beds. In between, the winding stairs along the hill act as a portal, allowing site users to experience the spatial transformations from the back and forth between “Yin” and “Yang”.
