The rest garden is located on a J-shaped gently sloping site at the corner framed by the Tai Po Road/Castle Peak Road intersection and Kowloon Road, having an area of 954 square metres and a maximum of 2.7 metres height difference with Kowloon Road. The sitting-out area is planted with Ficus microcarpa along the east and west, with low-hanging canopies enveloping the garden like a tree-lined avenue. The square tree beds and circular flowerbeds also add to the geometric atmosphere. Given that the site is beyond the western end of Sheung Li Uk Garden, it can be regarded as its extension. Thus, a green scenic corridor forms from north to south, starting from the Lei Cheng Uk Playground, Sheung Li Uk Garden, to the rest garden, providing citizens an energising belt of gardens.
