Lok Sin Road was the former site of Ta Tit Street in Kowloon Walled City. The former 32 Ta Tit Street was the location of the pre-war main hall of Kowloon Lok Sin Tong, a charity organisation in Hong Kong. Lok Sin Tong was a blessing to Kowloon, helping countless poor and needy. Tat Tit Street was thus renamed Lok Sin Road. The Lok Sin Road/Choi Hung Road Sitting-out Area is located at the east end of Lok Sin Road, north of Ng Wah Catholic Primary School and on the open space beside Drainage Service Department’s Kai Tak Desilting Compound No. 3. The slope at the opening of the pedestrian tunnel crossing Choi Hung Road gradually sinks along the sitting-out area’s curved boundary. Strip-shaped flower beds for separation and ventilation, as well as arrays of benches, are typically found on the two sides between the secondary school and the desilting site. As a feature of the sitting-out area, the central square is decorated with four vertically irregular groups of rectangular tree pools.
