She Sha Sitting-out Area

She Shan Village is a natural tribe in Lam Tsuen, Tai Po, named after She Shan in the Lam Tsuen Valley and has Fung Shui Woods behind the village. In 1998, to facilitate access to the village, She Shan Road was built to connect the village with Lam Kam Road, and a car park was set up at the end of She Shan Road in front of Sam Wai Tong, one of the two ancestral shrines in the village. The corner of the car park, She Shan Road and the adjacent village houses created a peninsula-shaped open space, which was converted into the She Shan Sitting-out Area in 2008. The sitting-out area is only 48 square metres, mainly occupied by two red prefabricated pavilions. The two-metre-high bright green steel fence around the site separates the turnaround point on She Shan Road yet doesn’t obstruct views. This mini sitting-out area with contrasting colours provide a resting place for villagers.
