Waterloo Road / Ferry Street Sitting-out Area

窩打老道的名字是為紀念英國滑鐵盧戰之役勝仗而命名的，由19世紀未至1961年期間分階段建成，成為了貫通九龍心臟地帶和連接港九和新界東的主要道路之一。休憩處的位置是昔日油麻地避風塘的海邊，亦是渡船街命名的由來。休憩處坐落於渡船街同窩打老道交界的天橋下之，附近就是油麻地果欄。休憩處是一個長形的空間，集寵物公園和模型車公園一身，由於休憩處兩邊都是煩忙的馬路，所以只有一個出入口位於渡船街同窩打老道交界。

Waterloo Road was named to commemorate the United Kingdom’s victory in the Battle of Waterloo. From the late 19th century to 1961, the road was built in stages, ultimately becoming one of the main roads through the heart of Kowloon, connecting Hong Kong, Kowloon and East New Territories. The sitting-out area is located on the coastline of the former Yau Ma Tei Typhoon Shelter—hence the name Ferry Street. The area sits under the flyover at the junction of Ferry Street and Waterloo Road, near Yau Ma Tei Fruit Market. The sitting-out area is a long space that combines a pet park and a model car circuit. Given that both sides of the sitting-out area have busy traffic, the junction only has one entrance and exit at the junction.
