Tsuen Kam Interchange was opened in the 1980s as part of the Tsuen Wan New Town Development Programme. The rest garden is a semi-circular sunken space formed by the northern end of Wai Tsuen Road, the interchange and the closure of Yi King Garden. It forms an organic whole with nearby greening and green spaces surrounding the interchange. The east and west entrances are against the outer wall of Fairview Garden. The grassy slope along Wai Tsuen Road is covered with Senna alata and Acacia confusa to soften the border, with attractive flower beds on the side near the estate’s outer walls. Two irregular flower beds sit at the centre of the site. The larger one is shaped as a small mound, which frames the spatial territories with its abundant shrubs and trees, whereas the mount is anchored by three oppositely facing arbours.
